Happy Thursday! 😎
I count my weeks Thursday to Thursday, and what a week it's been! It kicked off with a bang — my big boo-boo (failure to link) in last week's issue meant sending two emails in one day. Very sorry about that.
Then Friday, I almost slipped in my laundry room, which is how I found water leaking out of my ceiling light fixture. Several stressful hours later, the leak was fixed (thank you Mr. Buzz) and the mitigation equipment rented (luckily we now have a Home Depot in the ‘hood!). Silver lining: I'm getting a new ceiling — and finally, wallpaper!
Then the storms rolled in, bringing much-needed rain and cooler temps at the cost of serious damage to landscaping and property. The number of downed trees across our city and the West Valley is hard to believe — by the looks of things we've lost a significant percentage of them, along with their shade and the shelter they gave the birds. Insert sad face.
I'm also so sorry to hear how many of you are dealing with major property and farm damage. It's put my own damage in perspective, and true to your tough-cookie form, you're handling it in stride.
Now let’s dive in, 🐝-cause…
The more you know, the more you go!
