MIDNIGHT-ISH MISSION

I'm not sure I’m the right person to talk about Buc-ee's.

I typically don't jump on bandwagons. I've never purchased a Beanie Baby or a Stanley. I avoid crowds and waiting in line whenever possible. And I generally prefer to keep my money in my wallet where I can feel it. Plus, the worst part, I can’t eat most junk food due to my gluten sensitivity.

Which made writing this story a little tricky.

But after several messages this week asking: "When are you going to Buc-ee's?" and "We're waiting for your review!" I felt it was my duty to go.

So, at 5 PM on Day 2 of their opening, I downed an espresso, began researching what goodies are gluten free, and went about figuring out the least crowded time to visit. By 10:40 PM, Mr. Buzz had determined — solely by the traffic pattern on the 10 — that then was the best time to go.

Spoiler alert: Apparently everyone else had the same idea.
